We are two women (25 & 29 years old) looking for a third female roommate.
We are both ‘the quiet types’ (most of the time). Our idea of a great Friday is one spent on the couch with a glass of wine in hand and a good book in front of us. Occasionally - when things are getting real ‘crazy’ - we will meet up with a few friends and play some board games together.
We both have pets - a dog and a cat (Buddy and Kasha). Both are well-behaved and clean. Kasha (the cat) will basically be invisible until she gets to know you, which takes some time. Buddy loves pretty much everyone.
We respect a closed-door and do not expect a roommate to take part in house social activities (you don't need to make dinner once a month). It would, however, be very nice to find someone with similar interests that fits well into our house culture.
We are both very organized with a high standard of cleanliness. We are occasionally involved in volunteer work within the LGBT community. We are ambitious and currently pursuing our interests in social development work in Africa. It's not uncommon to hear us debating and discussing the constructs of gender and sexuality from an academic perspective, among other things.
You would fit in well here if you value clear/respectful communication, organization & cleanliness, and quiet, cozy weekends. (A huge plus if you also value the empowerment of marginalized groups in society!!!)
